Engineered for Perfection

Our ABS products are built to be perfect.

Scanning & Data Processing

Scanning Processes

Our scanning processes are intricate. It involves carefully positioning the product to capture multiple views of the part from different angles, ensuring accuracy. The scanner captures a cloud of points (point cloud) that represents the 3D shape of the part.

Data Processing

These 3D scans are then used to align, sharpen and mesh to generate complete models.

Alignment: We combine the multiple scans into a single, coherent 3D model. This often involves aligning and merging overlapping scans to ensure accuracy.

Noise Reduction: We remove any scanning artifacts or noise from the data. This might involve smoothing and filtering techniques to refine the model.

Mesh Generation: We convert the cleaned point cloud data into a 3D mesh. This step involves creating a network of vertices and polygons that represent the surface of the part.

Refinement

Once the data has been meshed, we refine the model to ensure that any flaws, mistakes or any other missing data is fixed before the CAD process.

CAD & Testing

The refined models are then translated to CAD which allow us to analyse the product to assess the overall design to determine whether any further modification is needed.

Once the CAD has been approved by the engineers, we then get to mould production. This occurs in 3 stages:

Prototyping: Use the 3D model to create prototypes through initial 3D printing and then to CNC.

Validation: We then test the prototypes to ensure they meet the required specifications and fit properly.

Production: Once validated, use the final 3D model to guide production processes, including tooling, manufacturing, and quality control.

Finish

Once the fitment tests have been conducted, we then produce the items for you.

We are now able to offer OEM quality paint for a selection of our premium parts to ensure a hassle-free installation.
